ஈரோட்டில் ரயில் விபத்து ஒத்திகை விழிப்புணர்வு நிகழ்ச்சி

ஈரோடு ரயில்வே ஸ்டேஷன், சென்னிமலை சாலை அருகே உள்ள ரயில் என்ஜின் பணிமனை பகுதியில், ரயில் விபத்து ஒத்திகை விழிப்புணர்வு நிகழ்ச்சி வெள்ளிக்கிழமை (நேற்று) நடைபெற்றது. இந்நிகழ்ச்சிக்கு, சேலம் கோட்ட ரயில்வே மேலாளர் பங்கஜ் குமார் சின்கா, கூடுதல் கோட்ட ரயில்வே மேலாளர் சிவலிங்கம் ஆகியோர் முன்னிலை வகித்தனர். ஈரோடு கோட்ட பாதுகாப்பு அலுவலர் தட்சணாமூர்த்தி, ரயில் பாதுகாப்பு குறித்து விளக்கினார்.

இந்த விழிப்புணர்வு நிகழ்ச்சியில், ரயில் விபத்து நடக்கும் போது, ரயில்வே துறை ஊழியர், பயணிகள், மக்கள் எவ்வாறு நடந்து கொள்ள வேண்டும். தீயணைப்பு, ஆம்புலன்ஸ், மீட்பு வாகனங்களை எவ்வாறு அழைக்க வேண்டும். அப்பகுதி அரசு மருத்துவமனை, ஆரம்ப சுகாதார நிலையங்கள், தனியார் மருத்துவமனை, மாவட்ட நிர்வாகத்துக்கு தகவல் தெரிவிக்க வேண்டும் என்பன உள்ளிட்ட செயல்பாடுகளை தத்ரூபமாக செய்து காட்டினர்.

அதேபோல், ரயில் பயணிகளின் பொருட்கள், ரயில்வே துறைக்கான சொத்து மற்றும் பொருட்களின் உறுதி செய்வதை, பாதுகாப்பை ரயில்வே போலீசார் செய்து காட்டினர். ரயில் விபத்து நடக்கும்போது விபத்து நேர அவசர செயல்பாடு, பாதுகாப்பு, திறம்பட செயல் படுதல் குறித்து ஒத்திகையில் ஈடுபட்டனர். இதில் ரயில்வே போலீசார், பணியாளர்கள் மற்றும் பொதுமக்கள் என பலர் கலந்து கொண்டனர்.

SALEM DIVISION CONDUCTS JOINT MOCK EXERCISE WITH NDRF

The Salem Division of Southern Railway conducted a Joint Mock Exercise with National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) at Erode today – 22.09.2023.

Thiru Pankaj Kumar Sinha, Divisional Railway Manager, Salem Division, Thiru P. Sivalingam, Additional Divisional Railway Manager, Salem Division, Thiru P. Dakshina Moorthy, Divisional Safety Officer, Salem Division, Thiru S. Vaithiyalingam, Deputy Commandant, NDRF/Arakkonam and railway officials and staff were present during the Joint Mock Exercise.

The National Disaster Response Force was constituted for the purpose of specialized response to natural and man-made disasters.  The NDRF Battalion at Arakkonam is closely associated with Southern Railway and regular joint meetings and mock exercises on train accidents are being conducted.  These exercises immensely help in improving the skill of railway personnel in rescue operations and help NDRF in understanding Indian Railways’ coaches.  As part of these exercises, a Joint Mock Exercise was conducted at Erode yard today.

As a part of this Joint Mock Exercise, an ‘accident-like scenario’ was created at Erode railway yard.  2 coaches were ‘derailed’ and alert sounded.  On hearing the siren, various departments of railways swung into rescue action.  Incident was communicated to the concerned authorities and NDRF / Arakkonam was alerted.  Medical team from Railway Hospital, Erode, and staff of Operating, Mechanical, Signal, Electrical, Engineering and RPF & Government Railway Police departments rushed to the spot and carried out rescue operations as per laid down procedures.  During this Joint Mock Exercise, the response of the various teams involved and their efficiency in rescue & relief operations was recorded and analysed.

The Aim of such Joint Mock Exercises is to inculcate a Culture of Preparedness for Disaster Management among various stakeholders.  To Review and Evaluate Disaster Management Plans, identify the efficacy of Standard Operating Procedures, identify the gaps in resources & communications, enhance the ability to respond faster and reduce the impact of disasters and losses to human life are among the prime objectives of these Joint Mock Exercises.
